Obon Festival Season

Hello all! As we said in our class last night, July and August are jam packed with Japanese festivals. They usually start in the afternoon and run until 9 or so in the evening, culminating in easy-to-learn odori dancing. The food is always good, with each temple competing to make the best teriyaki, sushi or noodles-most will also have special unique dishes that only they make.

Tonight we had eight fine folks joining us for the class, making temaki hand rolls with spicy tuna, and tempura crunch rolls
