We are a father-son team of food enthusiasts teaching Japansese cooking and sushi with the Will Rogers' inspired motto of: "We never met a meal we didn't like."
We have been teaching sushi and Japanese cooking since 1999, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Every class is a new opportunity to teach and to try new, fresh ingredients and recipes.
We are holding classes at the Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple in downtown Los Angeles during the year. Please keep an eye on the temple's event page for class dates.
We had a great class in whittier just last week. The group was very talkative and I swear had some of the best looking rolls we've seen recently! For this class, we made a California roll and a new one for this class, a beef roll. Resting on a bed of lettuce, we sauteed the thin sukiyaki beef in rich teriyaki sauce and added sliced cucumber. Ah, if only we had the radish sprouts to add!
