We are a father-son team of food enthusiasts teaching Japansese cooking and sushi with the Will Rogers' inspired motto of: "We never met a meal we didn't like."
We have been teaching sushi and Japanese cooking since 1999, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Every class is a new opportunity to teach and to try new, fresh ingredients and recipes.
We are holding classes at the Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple in downtown Los Angeles during the year. Please keep an eye on the temple's event page for class dates.
Now that summer is quickly giving way to cooler fall weather, it is time to break out the old frying wok. Karaage is a family favorite, a crunchy snack made from boneless marinated and cornstarch-breaded right before frying. I will post the recipie soon.
